Pony-tail jewlery and holders

Does anyone know of an internet web site that offers pony-tail holders and jewlery (a la Highlander) for sale. I have a friend who is looking for something to hold his hair back that's masculine. Thanks.

The Highlander Store used to have them. Don't know if they still do. Their phone number was 1-800-228-8133, but they seem to change it frequently, or maybe there's more than one store selling Highlander stuff. I have a catalog here with 1-800-395-0313 shown as the phone number, and a web site I've linked below.
Call around. Maybe having the part numbers shown in the image above will get you the hair ties if they have them, even if they aren't in a certain catalog. By all means let us know what you find out!

The Highlander phone numbers vary with the catalog numbers. Calls get routed to different sales centers that only have access to items from that particular catalog. I called a different number from a different catalog to order the hair ties and they had no idea what I was talking about. Then, I called the number as listed in the catalog showing the hair ties and got them ... and they are nice :-) 1-800-622-0922 was the number used and the hair ties were advertised as 10% off - only $8.95 each - catalog number HITV99-24. Try this, maybe save some money.

You can make ponytail jewelry fairly easily. Bead shops, leather shops, craft shops, and Renaissance type fairs materials.
Some things that have worked for other men. Band the tail with an elastic holder. Tie off a long strip of leather above it so it dangles amid the tail.
Do the same with the cord used for stringing beads after decorating with beads or other items. Horn tips work well if you set them to a length where they click each other as you walk. Abalone shell pieces work well tied off and go very well with Hawaiian shirts. If your tail is long make seperate short and long lengths and tie them both above your elastic band.
(To remove, they just slide down the tail after the elastic is taken off. Use the unknoting time for meditation and patience practice.)
You can add just about anything to thin leather strips or bead cord.
Then tie it off above an elastic band. Or ask a lady friend to design you something that she can weave into your hair.
The Native American rolled tobacco can lids make nice end pieces for leather strips, and they clink against each other.
I still get a bit pissed when I visit the booths at the Renaissance Faire and they have hundreds of hair ornaments for women, but nothing for men. It's pretty easy to create things for ourselves if we think about it. Browsing a craft type store will bring many ideas. If you're lucky enough to be near a Native American craft supply store you are home free.
Happy inventing my long haired brothers.
