Flat Out

Hi Guys:
I'm new to the game and envious of several of you. I "let go" about two months ago and I'm not even sure of my level of commitment. Even gave some thought to using a 'relaxer' to get through the dreaded in-between stage. Saw a product called 'Flat Out' that is put in the hair, which is then blow-dried. Has anyone had experience with this?
To the young men whose parents are giving them grief: Good luck, I'm in my forties and still find myself getting pushed around.

Hi Charlie,
Take a deep breath and commit, once you're through the awkward period, you'll be glad you stuck with it.
About Flat Out, I'm a bit of an expert. I have wavy/curly hair, almost to mid-back. I have always wanted straight hair, and have tried just about every relaxing balm out there. The Flat Out line is a good line, but I've found my favourites are Graham Webb's Stick Straight line and ARTec's Smoothing Serum. I usually use a flat iron instead of a blow dryer because my hair has a mind of it's own, and lately, I've just put the balm in and let my hair air dry to controle the frizz, (if you use a flat iron, put on some balm then let your hair dry almost completly before using the iron for best results). I've found the ARTec Smoothing Serum works a little better than Graham Webb's, but both are great.
Good luck, and updated on the progress.
Cheers,
Paris
