Wearing hair underneath a shirt

Can anyone see any problems that might arise from wearing long hair underneath a shirt as opposed to letting it hang out over the top?

Pony Tail Cut Off At The Movies

There was an incident in my town a few years ago concerning two long-haired guys who went to the movies. Apparently, a group of rowdy kids sat behind them, and when the flick was done...the guys found out that the kids had hacked off their pony tails. Since then, I always wear my hair inside my shirt at the movies. And...I don't care if it looks stupid or not.

How many times are we going to see this story posted at this site and others? Some variation of this story has appeared from time to time on different sites. I will say what others have said...someone touching or much less trying to cut my hair would certainly get a quick response...unless as someone else pointed out..."they were literally deadheads! Absurd!

Remember, there are no nerves in your mane. If it happens you will probably not even know it in time to take action. It has been reported on here that this happened once in the movies and once on a city bus. In both cases the men discovered it LATER. In both cases they were seated in front of KIDS.
In our grandparents' day, when school desks had inkwells, it was a common stunt to dip girls' ponytails in the ink. Kids would also put chewing gum in someone's hair.
Kids also stick "kick me" stickers on the backs of people and hold two fingers up over their heads like donkey ears. Kids will mess with you from the back. It is the nature of kids. Dangling a ponytail in a kid's face for a long boring hour is asking for trouble. Putting it under your shirt, under your coat, or around over your shoulder and thus in front, is likely a good idea. :-)

Hey, did you see Fantasia 2000 where Teller cuts off Penn's ponytail, so that the hair falls loose on the sides?
