shaved head guy vows to grow long hair

I just had my head shaved on Friday. I thought I would like it and want to keep it but it made me sick when I saw all my hair on the floor of the barber shop! I had just left my hair grow for 12 months prior to this. I now feel that I lost a year but am taking comfort in the fact that I'm now totally determined to have very long hair. I will be needing encouragement in the near future as the awkward stages appear. I guess I needed this experience to convince me that I really want and need long hair. Write to me and I will post on this board regularly.

Scott, you've made the right decision. Now, what you need to do is avoid the barber shop for a good 2 years or so, but go for it. Two Sundays ago, I lost my 8-10" (didn't really measure it completely) ponytail to my sister's hands as she decided to "layer" it so it didn't look funny. I think it looked better before she touched it. After taking the Biotin 600 supplement from GNC for about 10 days, it has grown a bit and is starting to look nicer. I would've had to wait 20 days to have this growth if I wasn't taking the supplement. My beard is also much thicker than it would usually be at this time. So, Biotin works. Try it.

Hello,
one year is not a very long time, I have grown my hair for 1 and a half year from very short and it looks long now. I think I love it. It is important to take always care of the hair, to avoid the usual man's plastic comb and to use a conditioner after shampooing and before combing. Wet hair has a great vulnerability. I think it is a gift from heaven if a man is able to grow his hair very long, there are too much limitations determined by genetics (maximum length, male pattern baldness, society pressure), but it is also a challenge to stand for the own preferences. I wish you good luck.
