Sorry about the failure upload :(
Thanks also for uploading the pics :) Here's something about my hair:
I got my last "major" haircut in 10th Dec 1999. It was cut to about 4" at the top, 2" at the sides.
That was for military training, which is compulsory in my country. But luckily, I'll be exempted from that for the next 2-3 years and hence, my hair was "left alone" since then.
The pics were taken on 14th Mar 2001, 1 year 3 months into growing. Yes, I loved my hair very, very much and I intend to grow it to my waist (if possible, that is).
Thanks for the compliments, Sara :)

Ha yes! I wondered where you were from the type of furniture, the fan, pics of the wall and the newspaper on the table (could only be the New Straits Times or the Straits Times), then the military training -- Ah! Singapore right? Well I'm from across the causeway - ie. Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
Well I hope that after you've compelted your NS duties, you'll be able to grow your hair as long as you want.
BTW. What digital cam have you got? I'm thinking of getting a Sony Mavica or a Sony Cybershot but I'd end up maxing out on my credit card.
Regards
Charles

ohh.. that'll be when I'm 35, or older :(

I got the Sony DCR PC-5. It is a video cum digital cam. I bought it last year and it cost me S$2520 (abt RM6000). I saw the cam on display recently and the price did not seem to fall.
Actually, I don't know too much on digital cams and couldn't provide you with helpful information. But I can tell you that I'm very satisfied with the one I bought. It's worth every cent.
Best Regards,
Jin

My fault, I read you wrong. IE. you've got 2 to 3 years to grow your hair, BEFORE you go back for national service refresher.
My cousin had to do that till he turned 45, I believe.
One thing though, despite Singapore's ban on long hair and persecution of long haired men beginning in the 1960's, I was amazed at how Singapore had relaxed on that rule by the early 1980's when I was many long haired men, mainly Malays and they had lovely long hair.
At that time, it seemed that there were more longhairs in Singapore than Malaysia, until Ramli Sarip (super long hair) of the rock band Sweet Charity moved north of the Johore Strait.

RM6,000 ouch! Well, the Sony Mavica with a in-built CD-R would cost RM4,800 and it has a wide lens which is good for professional photography.
I good alternative would be the Sony CyberShot (about RM3,000) which my friend who has both says is OK but can't beat the Mavica for professional photography He runs a startup company producing multimedia content.

I bought a simple Sanyo digicam with a 640x480 resolution in Singapore some years back.
It was a very simple pocket camera, good for family photos outdoors but not that great for professional shots which I need to take as part of my work as a journalist. I gave it to my cousin around Christmas to use for his daughter's school projects.
I'm used to a film SLR which is great for professional work but I have to run the gauntlet of having the film processed and negatives scanned by the photoroom, while with the digicam I just gave the sub-editor the pics on diskette.

Errrrm... Not that I'm a metalhead, too skinny
Bloody hell, the waifgoth confesses to being skinny and pale instead of the pretentious (but accurate) "wraiflike"!
and a bit too sullen. Perky at times - does that make me bipolar? I don't know... Now I'm talking to myself again, this is not healthy.
Just don't ask me about any 80s metal bands, otherwise I won't shut up about Dokken, Helloween, Manowar, Ministry (yay!), But yes, Ministry ROCK!!! Re: Me, a metalhead? I don't think so... HI!
I am 23 and I have shoulder length hair which i would like to grow out so that I can wear it in feminine styles like braids and buns.
But right now, I have bangs which make me uncomfortable while growing the rest of my hair. Could anyone suggest hair styles and accessories for holding up my bangs with the rest of my hair?
Bye,
Mike

Hmm! Isn't this a bit off the thread.
Anyway, why not wear a basball cap. It would keep your hair in place till you can put it in a pony tail.
Keep it growing
Charles
