Hair is my obsessiom

Let me describe myself, my hair, my history, and my obsession.
I absolutely love my hair. I was a long hair by choice, but I love style. I have been described by barbers and stylistgs as having perfect hair.-"oh, you have hair we can do anything with. It is extremely thick, wavey, will blow dry into anything, healthy. I started out as a blonde and it turned dark brown by age eighteen. I first realized I had a hair fetish at about 12 years old . I am now 55, but I still have the same body and can wear the same clothes that I did 40 years ago: 55, 5'10"", 145 pounds, thin- but muscular, wirey, broad shoulders; I have been told I am attractive. Still the same hair. It's grayed, but I dye it. I've wrinkled, but I botox it.
At thirteen I realized I wanted long hair- At that time, that meant letting fenders grow on my flattop. What an experience! I was told I looked like a juvinile delimquent, a hood, etc.(which I would be glad to discuss). The Beatles came when I was eighteen and I let it grow more. In the preceeding meantime I had the "coolest flat top with fenders" that had ever been.My influence was Pachuco-zoot suiter-like that. I am Apache Irish. Does that strike anything for you?
I began to let my hair grow in the late sixties-had the best of the rock and roll trend. I began "shag cuts"in the seventies, and also learned to cut them. I moved back to the res in 1976, and cut my own and every cool guy's head into short shags; Totally followed Don Johnson's cut and growth on Miami Vice; had a super Mcgiver Mullet, freaked and had to be Lorenzo Lama in 90. (In the eighties I did thre gamut of eighties hair and loved every moment of it).I always lucked out with stylists who were into it. The longest my hair has gotten was 18" all over- it was gorgeous- that was in 1991. I kept it long- styling it every 3 to 4 weeks until last year. I love hair. I love haircuts. Last summer(2000) I stared cutting it and getting into the stuff and style now. I have been miserable and fulfilled. It's interesting to feel being treated differently- just because of my hair. I hate short hait. I love haircuts. Support me back to who I am.
