supplements and vitamins

I keep hearing about fo-ti and biotin.... are they over the counter things, if so where could i buy them. Are there only purpose to grow hair faster, or are there some side affects? Thanks.

I have to say I was excited about trying this combo after hearing amazing results on this board. I tried it for about a month and found no difference in rate of growth, so I gave up. It can't hurt to try it, though, and may make your hair healthier even if it doesn't make it grow faster. I found the supplements at GNC, pretty cheap.
