Hair Around Ears

I'm growing my hair out now and I'm at the awkward stage. Lately I've been noticing that a lot of the long-haired people I see on TV and places have it buzzed off around the ears. But their hair looks awesome. The only way you can tell they do that is when they have it in a ponytail. Well I wear glasses (unfortunately) and it has been flipping up right around the ears. I try to stick the hairs behind my ear and sometimes it works sometimes not. I hate the way it looks so I was wondering should I go ahead and have the hair around my ears cut, or just keep growing it and see how it looks as it is longer. Also what can i do to stop it from flipping some what.

Gilee, depending on what type of hair you have it may work for you.
(see my previous message "Haircutting") My hair is thick, wavy and
frizzy and yes everytime I took off my glasses some hair would stick
straight out about 3". So I had the short curly hair on the back of my neck and the hair about 1" above my ears buzzed (#1) and I think
it looks and works well. A lot less frizzy look. BUT, be sure your
stylist UNDERSTANDS exactly what you want. I have been very lucky, I
guess because she understood exactly what I wanted and did it just
right. According to other messages on this board some have had bad experiences. My style is sort of like an undercut I guess. It's only
really noticable when I have my hair pulled back in a ponytail. Hope
this helps. Just keep it long! MG
