First time for me....

I just found this site and thought I would post a note. I am letting my hair grow out for the first time. I'm 54 and back in the mid-60's when it was popular/rebellious to do so, I was too much of a nerd to do it. But after lots of years, I really don't care what society thinks or what the style trend it. It is something I've wanted to do.
I started letting it grow last November with a medium length cut at the time. Seems to be taking a long time, but I can hang in there.
Is anyone from the L.A. are? Are there any good stylists that work with those with long hair or letting it grow?
