A few questions...

A few questions...
1. I always read places and hear people say things about trimming dead ends and when i aske people if i should get my hair trimmed they say go through your hair and look for the dead ends yourself and only trim those particular hairs. What does a split end look like?
2. What the h*ll are those stupid little hairs that are always sticking up off my head, not like a cowlick, just individual hairs that just kind of stick out. Are those damaged, or new hairs? I have only gotten this problem recently, could it be the humidity of the summer months?
3.Does anyone know of a good site documenting the stages of akwardness?, I have found a few text descriptions but never a pictoral.I was checking out necksbydavid.com's hair history site and he has what im looking for, but hes just starting to grow his hair so by the time his hair gets even close to the lenght mine is now my length goal will be accomplished so daves site wont be helping me much. Good luck with your site by the way dave.

Stupid little hairs sticking up off your head are the ones you busted off. If you have tons of them you might wanna be a little gentler with the combing/brushigng/styling but it would sort of be impossible not to break ANY hairs.

Among them are also your youngest hairs, the ones that will someday replace all the hairs that are your long ones now. So take care of them, and for sure, do not cut them off! They are short hairs, so of course they will play the same awkward stage game that all your hairs played when they were all short. Fortunately they tend to stay among your longer strands when you first comb, and it is only as the day wears on that they work their way out. The wind can speed up that process.
