violence and hair?

hi i am 12 and have a bowl cut and want it to be parted...j/k :).
this is kind of an odd question, and i dont know how many of you can help me with this. i never had this problem before (i used to have a shaved head) but now my hair is at a grabbing lenght. I often goto heavy metal concerts and get in the pits and everything. i also tend to be very confrontationsl and get into alot of fights. I had somebody grab me by the hair for the first time the other night and i realized i had no idea what to do.fortunately i got out of that one with very minimal damge to my hair (or the rest ofme for that matter,) but it left me thinking. I am going for terminal lenghth, and when my hair is down to me arse what do i do in the pits? is there somekind of hat or something i could wear to keep it from getting grabbed?

There's actually very little you can do, I'm afraid to say.
As a fellow longhaired metalhead I can only say this - If you go in the pit, prepare to lose a few hairs. You could try trying it up into a ponytail but the rule of thumb is that you're still going to lose a few. And it's never very comfortable when you do. The bad thing is you can't control how many get pulled out. It could be 10 or some guy could grab it and pull out 100+. If you take the risk, prepare for the loss. I had a buddy leave a concert with a bald patch because of that very thing happening.
Of course you could tuck it under a hat. But think - how long do you reckon that hat would stay on when you're jumping around?
And fights? Haha, well, nothing can be done about that. It's not like you can say "Hold on, let me just put on my fightin' cap, b**ch!"

If someone grabs your hair, grab the hand that is holding your hair, pull and hold it against your head, and then while holding their hand against your head push the hell downwards on it (holding their hand against your head the whole time), this will put them in a simple wrist lock, run backwards and pull downwards hard while you do this, with any luck they should be on the floor by the time they realise what is happening, then the last thing they will be thinking of is pulling your hair...

Wear a bandanna. That will get pulled off before your hair will. If the bandanna does get pulled off, just get out of there.

How long is your hair? I used to know a guy who had a 2 foot ponytail
who would braid it and then wrap it around his head and pin it in
place and then tie a bandana around his head to keep his hair safe.
Also maybe you could chill slightly and not have hair pulling problems. Please note that this is not criticism, just concern both
for your body and hair. Good luck with your hair growing and keeping
it rooted to your scalp!

Find out what is making you so violent and confrontational. Violence is not good for anyone, and you are very young to be having these feelings. Get some counseling quick, and you shouldn't have to worry about getting into fights and having your hair pulled. If you refuse to seek counseling and prefer this violent lifestyle, perhaps a few good yanks to your long locks is what you desire?!
