Hi, I'm 21 and getting pretty concerned about hair loss, i recently went to a dermatologist and he said my hairline is starting to receed a little bit and Im starting to thin a little bit and when i look real close in the mirror i can see in the front on my hairline where it is getting thin..i can see my scalp in the front thru my hair..im taking 2 msm 1000 pills, mega man and megabiotin pills, but im also thinking of adding either propecia or shen min,. i took shen min for 3 mts last yr its a pain cause you ahve to take 3 pills a day but i was wondering if anyone here has taken either pill and iof they have helped you..cuz 21 yr old starting to lose his hair causes bad self esteem probs and its starting to do to me as we speak and i need to stop this so any help is greatly appreicated.

I'm not a doctor but it seems to me that you're taking all the appropriate pills for hair restoration (especially MSM, Biotin and Shen Min, which contains Fo-Ti that restores hair). I do not think you should mix such a large cocktail of drugs/supplements all in one go as it could be counter-productive (some of them might neutralise the other and so on). Hence, concentrate on one supplement (Shen Min recommended) and see how the results are after 3~6 months. You must not be too impatient, hair do not restore itself over-night. It could sometimes take a year or 2.
If you still feel very uneasy, you could perhaps approach a trichologist or if your own dermatologist can help, to prescribe appropriate medication for your condition.

I am taking Propecia with excellent regrowth results. I Highly recommend it.
