Before I say anything I must warn u that I personally don't do it(YET) and that it sounds reeaaallly crazy. ok. there's your warning.
I was talking to my friend and aksed her how long it took for her hait to get so long b/c I noticed that on her earlier year's ID(school) and she had hair stylied to her shoulders. now its almost to her butt. I asked how she did it and she hesitated to tell ne how. After a while she told me that she used horse shampoo once a month. as crazy as it sounds I *think* I'll try it for the fact that I wanna know if its true AND more hair faster=good. not that I'm too worried about my length at this point. ok. its done. I'M NOT CRAZY!!! not for that reason atleast.

Hi Trent - maybe she was talking about 'Lucky Kentucky' Shampooo for 'Mane, Tail, and Body. I have just gone out and bought some and although originally a horse shampoo it it is also released for human use too - and on the matching conditioner it does indeed say 'promotes Longer hair'. I note that it has biotin as an ingredient too.
I will let you know what i think about it after I have used it. in the mean time why dont you ask the girl what exctly it is that whe uses.

------> I know it sounds crazy. That having been said I had
a housemate several years ago who used this type of shampoo. Didn't seem to have any adverse reactions.

Be careful about using shampoos or other formulations made for animals. Alone they may not cause damage, but they are not tested to assure they don't interact with other things people put on their hair. They may also not respond well to being confined, as we do with human hair into ponytails, braids, and such.
I recall some time back, someone reported on here having such a product turn into a rubbery mass when it hit another hair care product, and they suffered a lot of damage to their hair in removing it.
