bad support

Most people here seem to get nasty comments about their hair (esp. during the awkward stage). But I have never had that problem, mostly people have encrouraged me to grow long hair, telling me that they think it'll look great. Anyone else who have experienced this?
cheers,
james

I agree with James-- I'm in the awkward stage (about 6" all around) and anyone who knew me last year when I had a buzzcut knows I'm undergoing a change, yet I mostly get positive or "polite" comments, if anything at all. Most people at work just ignore it (I work at a university where there are lots of long-haired men among the students, staff, and faculty). Sometimes people just ask why I'm doing it, but I've never had anyone make nasty comments. I may even have influenced a couple of friends to try growing long hair, too, and I will encourage and support them. Maybe kids in high school are more prone to teasing. --blake

The last time someone said I should get a haircut was over a month ago, and that was a five year old. Yeah people said that in high school, but that sucked anyway (private cathloc). I don't know where you people are but where I am (NY) no cares bigtime. My hairs 1 inch above my chin BTW.
