Help me figure this out......

First off, I'm 17 years old and I want to grow out my hair long. Fist thing I wanna know is how to get started. Right now I have a fade that's fairly short. Should I have my hair the same length all the away around, or could I grow it out from the fade?

Longer hair for men is on its way back. As a professional men's stylist, I tell you (as I reassure my clientele) that the only way to longer hair is letting it grow--from whatever stage it is in right now. And that includes fades. Grow it out from your fade--and start right now! Good luck!
