Hair length and Dr. Phil from Oprah

I was watching the Oprah Winfrey show a couple of monthes ago, and they were having a make over show for men. One of the wives complained about her husband having long hair (chin length) and wanted him to cut it during the make over. The husband didn't want to cut it. His hair looked like it was well-kept and clean. She just wanted him to be a man, and keep his hair short like one. Anyway, Dr. Phil was talking and he said to the wife that it's no big deal that he had long hair. It's his hair and as long as he kept it cleaned and groomed, he could see no reason to make a big deal out of it. It's not one of lifes big problems. He also brought out the fact that women were going shorter than most men, he indicated that there shouldn't be two standards, one for men and another for women. His last remark was, "Get Over It"
