You have probably seen several postings regarding responses of people to longhairs. As a senior, you probably get jabs from the same type of people - those who are trying to be in the "in" crowd.
You are following your own drummer, a trait that will hopefully grow in you as you venture into life beyond highschool - out of the cliques and into the real world.
But make no mistake, you will still be a minority in the eyes of the "normal" culture - a radical.
Have fun with it. You are doing what you want to do.
It's all in your attitude.

I remember I had the longest hair in my school class and I never got any hair cut pressure or insults from the other school boys or girls respective my hair (it was around 1970). It was just accepted how it was. I think I had the only "hippy like" hair style although the time allowed long hair.
The problems I got were almost family problems. My mother and father hated the hair and family situation was more a fight against my hair position than to give a pleasant life. No support from any family members.
I think something has been ruined during this time.
After school military catched the hair and during the studies afterwards family anti-hair-war continued and sometimes they won. I assumed hair cut requests from the job machinery, but I am not quite sure, I had hair cuts for some kind of virtuality.
The result was a certain kind of ambivalence in hair length and a strong opposition against society requests, I spend more than 25 years at universities, some kind of never ending student. There I could grow my hair as long as I wanted, and I had a lot of sightings from long haired women I missed outsite.
Currently I am working in a software development area with hairlength about 40 cm and I have no problems anymore with the hair, it seems to be accepted from my environment and I live in peace with it.
I think long hair is a nice attribute for young human being and it is sad if society gives pressure to cut it. And I think that hair cut pressure in younger years can result in long hair likings that will never die until the end of life.
