My sideburns are the problem I have heard everything except what to do about sideburns do you let them grow or cut them if you want to grow hair just below your chin I have been growing my hair for about 3-4 months and I can push my sideburns behind my ears so what do I do?

I would use a clipper and buzz them down (not TOO short), but don't shave them off!

The question is what part of sideburns are to be trimmed like your hair and what part like your beard, in case you don't trim them the same. Most men don't. I let my hair grow as long as it wants, but I keep my beard at about two centimeters in length.
I've found the place you mentioned, where you "can push your sideburns behind your ears" to be the best place to draw the dividing line. This point is just below the tops of the ears. This is not the natural dividing line where the hair texture changes, which is at the middle of the ear, but if you let that be the dividing line, you will have tufts of long hair falling down over your beard in front of your ears. It look cool when a long mustache falls over your beard, but by your ears that looks funky.
I looked long and hard for a photo of me to show this, and this is the only one I could come up with:
You'd think I'd find more, but the truth is, my hair most of the time covers up my sideburns so no one ever sees them anyway. Guys who do ponytails will care a lot more about how this area looks, because that is when you'll really see tufts there if the hair is too long. The above shot gives a rare view of my ear because it was windy at the time. :-)
Nevertheless, if your sideburns are not trimmed, people can tell. This photo taken of me last month hardly shows my ears, but one can readily see a break between my sideburns and my hair, and that the sideburns are trimmed:

Thanks Alan. Another day the wind was blowin'. You did have to show me at the corner of Haight and Ashbury. Now they're gonna figure out I'm a longhaired hippie. :-)
