really oily hair problem

I have to shampoo and condition my hair everyday. i dont want to, its just that i shower in the morning and when i wake up the next morning my hair is mated down and clumpy with oil. If i try to just rinse it and not shampoo it as soon as it dries it is matted and clumpy again. I think it may be the fact that i am 16 and puberty has this effect on people but, i dont want to damage my hair. Maybe because my scalp produces so much oil it is okay to shampoo everyday. I dont know, what should i do?

I use the Physique brand of conditioner, they have one that helps keep your hair straight. (watch out for the curly type though)
Rinse conditioned hair with cool water.
It helps to slick it back and let it air-dry. Don't use a comb or brush though, I made that mistake and it warped my hair into an erratic wavy mess. (It's recovered now though.)
The way I do it is turn my back to the shower and look upwards and let the water stream pull all my hair back (similar to the hair wetting sinks at a barber's)
Then I get out and air-dry but don't touch the hair until it is fully dry. It takes several hours to dry but it's worth it. Helps if you sit still until it dries, watch a movie or use the computer.
