Well, I can't believe this, but I'm getting to 7 months without any cutting or trimming. Althought, I have a question, my mother is pressing for some "fixing" on the back, but that would go against my own rule of no trims at all till March. I have postponed my relaxing, until I see it has length to tuck my bangs behind my ears, meanwhile I'll just try to enjoy my huge afro. Besides, after my november color mess, I now decided to keep my new color, just a little bit blonder than my original color, and got the roots retouched today for Christmas. I hope I make, it, it is going pretty fast, good luck and please advice on my mom's issue. Keep growing.

It might help if you post a picture, so we can see what your mom thinks needs "fixing". At 7 months you are most likely past the halfway point of the awkward stage. Don't prolong it now with some ill advised trimming.
