How can I grow my hair faster?

I've been growing out my hair for about a year now, and have cut it probably four times all last year, just to maintain it a little bit. Right now its about to the length of my nose, and by next year I want it shoulder length for soccer season. Is there any shampoos or other techniques that will make my hair grow faster.

There isn't any goop you can put on hair strands to make it grow, since hair is dead. Yep, once your hair emerges from under the skin, it's dead -- D E D -- dead. And all you can do with hair is wash it, comb it, bombard it with chemicals, and make it look pretty. That's about it . . .
But, there is something you can do to stimulate hair growth . . . two things, actually. First, eat well, avoid eating/drinking too much bad stuff, take a decent multivitamin, etc. Second, you can stimulate your scalp with light massage on a weekly basis, to get the blood circulating to the papilla & etc where the hair actually does grow.
This won't make much difference in the rate your hair grows, but if you're of the opinion that "every little bit helps," well then, this little bit will help. If it was me, though, I sure wouldn't spend any $$$ on anything that promised to grow hair faster, 'cause it can't and it won't.
Good luck,
