Good Shampoos

Are there any good shampoos out there that won't aggrevate a sensitive scalp? It seems no matter what brand I buy, my hair is dry and hard to manage when I get out of the shower.

Have you tried washing your hair with just water instead of shampooing? I used to have problems with dry hair until I started reading advice on not using shampoo every time one washes. At first I was rather skeptical, but I tried it last fall and it has been working very well for my hair. I started off by shampooing every other day and washing with just water on the other days, then gradualy shampooed less and less often. Now I use shampoo only as often as I need to, maybe about once a week or so, and have been having good results.
Another thing that might help, if the length of your hair is dry, is a good conditioner, maybe a leave in. You could also try oiling your hair or a mayo treatment, or other similar "deep" conditioning treatments.
If you have a very sensitve/irritable scalp though, perhaps you should see a dermatologist and get any reccomendations that he/she might have.

I use Aussie Moist and only shampoo once per week. Followed by conditioning with Pantene Pro-V conditioner and Infusium 23 leave in conditioner. The rest of the week I just rinse my hair with cool water. This seems to work well for me.
