Hair trims and flipping sides...

I had my hair cut short last July, grew it, got a tiny trim in October, let it go, and then got a tiny trim yesterday. What I've found is that the trim I got yesterday made my hair look more awkward than it had before. The flipping bangs which had been less noticeable lately are back.
Maybe I was just real stupid and should have followed the advice here. But I looked at it this way: Girls hair looks great and they get trims all the time. I figured if I want to a beauty salon she'd be able to get my hair on that path. Maybe it is.

dear jack,
follow chrisy's lead and let your hair grow....it will continue to flip until it gets enough weight (i.e. LENGTH) on it to lay down...
