ok i feel kind of dumb asking this: I have hair that is a little over shoulder length, it is the longest i have ever had it, and up until now i have worn it down all the time. recently i have tried putting my hair up in a pony tail, but for some reason i cannot get it right. is there some secret to doing this? my hands always seem to get in the way. thanks, any help would be appreciated.

  here i am before tying my hair back
  first, get your hair tie and place it over your thumb and forefinger as i have in my right hand, then gather your hair with your other hand as shown
  with your 'hair tie' hand grab the base your tail close to your head- then let go with your 'other' hand
  with your fore finger, 'hook' the tie and pull over your tail as shown- removing it from the first hand- keeping hold of your hair pull your tail through the tie
  rotate your hand to give the tie a half-twist then place your thumb inside as shown...
  reach across as before, pulling your tail through- repeating if there isnt enough tension to hold your hair... tighten by grabbing your tail just below the tie and pushing the tie toward your head with the other hand
  with practice you will get the hang of it

    Hey j.s.! Your hair is awesome!!! How long did it take for you to grow it to this length? Are you going all the way down to the waist? Your pics showing how to do ponytail is quite helpful. By any chance, do you have a pic showing your bangs/forelocks? In other words, just how far down does your hair go when brushed straight down over face?
