Hay I am with you guys man, when i was younger my dad would make be get the "pig shave" as he called it, just a really short cut..
then I grew up, and started getting hair cuts less and less.. my hair grows so fast, and i like having long hair, so about 5 months ago, i said screw it and I think im dont hair cuts for a while..
there are a few stages that can frusterate me, I passed my first one, that is eye ball level, my hair always poked me in the eye..
now my bangs reach just under my mouth if i tug.. thats not really the problem, I dont like to tuck it behind my ears, and I cant really tie it back, but i will when i can, i probably have to..
but at work, it is just always in my face.. and i sweat, and my hair gets soaked in it.. [you know where this is going] and it starts to stick to everything..
or even worce is when it is tooo clean and it magicly tranceforms into a static ball ontop of my head.. and everytime i touch something mettal.. KRACK... a bolt of electrisaty pulses threw my arm, making me jump..
so i am always going to the washroom and soaking my hair.. that helps a little.. or even running my flower coverd hands threw it ;p [oooh by the way, i am night crew at a super store, stalking shelves, not to many rules there, so if are thinking i am baking your bread with hands full of hair.. im not.. ;p]
boy this is getting too long already..
when i gel my hair.. it dryes too fast, and gets totaly hard.. then it starts to wear out, and i got a head full of sticky hair..
oooh poor me, maybe i am using the wrong jell.. my hair dryes out to fast, with water, jell anything...
it wont be long till i can tie it, my hair grows.. almost too fast ;p
guess i am asking for advice, but eh..

My advice is to use leave-in moisturizers in your hair. Use leave-in conditioners also. I usually mix up a "hair cocktail" as I call it. I've achieved soft, silky hair without the greasy look by using the right combination of leave-in stuff.
Go this route. Hairsprays and gels aren't good.

Get a duckbill hair clip or two. Plain metal ones look ok for guys, and you can get 'em at Sally's for $2 or so a dozen. Dunno if they're available at Wally World or Target, never looked. But they'll hold your hair in place just fine . . . good solution until you can tie a tail.
