Future Hair Growth Measurement

My hair(measuring from the current bangs length)is about an inch below my eyes or mid-to-lower nose. Judging by the average 1/2 inch a month, I took a measuring tape, pulled my bangs down in front of my face and suspended the measuring tape from the end of my hair. Now today is March 4th, 2002. By December 31st, 2002, (10 months = 5 inches) I judged that my hair should be down slightly past the middle of my neck. And then by December 31st, 2003, it should be down around mid-chest. Does this sound right?! Cause if it is, that is awesome!! Also, I wash my very thick hair once a week(laziness!)
