can thick hair be grown?

my hair is quite short at the moment (about 2cm) but it is thick, dry and pretty wirey. will i be able to grow it?
would it help if i shaved it all off and started from scratch?
what sort of thing can i do to stop it being so dry?
i shower nearly every day, is this making my hair the way it is?
quite a few questions there but i would really apreciate it if someone could answer them. thanks :)

ANY hasir can be grown. no person's hair is gonna match another person. so just go for it if you want it. and to help the dryness try not shampooing and just condition it. switch from shampoo and condition to just condition every other day. that'll help.
shaving it probably will do nothing but make you're hair shorter, so don't do it, unless thats what you want.
hope this helped!

thats what my used to be described as! it's called scab hair, which prolly the first 6 months in which it feels and looks like crap. during and after that, you still got your awkward stage, but your hair might grow into something more managable during that time. I used to have wiry hair that was actually described as feeling like "steel wool," but I still gave it time. To my surprise my hair grew into the soft curls i have today. and i thought i had kinky hair, hehe. I love my hair!
