I have brown wavy hair, to the lower part of my back. I also have both ears, double-pierced - which I really like. I tend to wear larger earrings (like 1.5 to 2 inch silver or gold hoops) in the first holes, and smaller ones in the second. I enjoy the addition of jewelry - I think it accents my hair. For the most part, people don't respond negatively to me at all!

My only problem with wearing danglies, is they get caught in my hair at times. I prefer larger hoops to avoid this problem. I feel hoops accentuate my hair nicely when its down. Usually if I wear it in a pony, I stay with small ones.

Long and dangly can overaccentuate the
hair length and make your whole face look
long and skinny like an El Greco painting
subject....
Earrings definitely can add to the

I find that when my hair was longer that it afforded me the opportunity to wear larger hoops and dangles. I really enjoyed that. Now that my hair is shorter, I tend to stay with smaller earrings.

I, too enoy wearing earrings. My hair is waist length and I like
the look of large (3 inch) hoops in the first holes and balls in
the back holes. I would like to try dangles but haven't yet.
Although I usually wear gold, I have also tried some colored metal
or plastic ones that match my clothes.
Has anyone found where to buy larger ones (>3-in), perhaps by mail
or the Web?

Supposedly the left ear is supposed to mean that you are straight and the right ear is the gay ear. And according to my dear old mother, both ears supposedly means you are bi-sexual. Yeah, I've had an earing in one ear, (left), then eventually got the other one pierced, and always wore these really small very fine hoops.
Now that my hairs longer and still growing, I wear 3/4" silvr hoops very fine. If it's special occasion, like a gathering, Renfest, a night when I'm feeling a little exotic, or in the mood, I'll wear one 1" or bigger. Sometimes much bigger!
I've only received complimets, ane it really is interesting to see what the image people get about me from it. Very artsy/rocker/wild guy type, and I end up getting hit on alot!
Er . . . not that that's a bad thing! :o)

If you haven't seen it, you haven't looked completely through this site. If you haven't looked completely through this site, you really don't have any business making claims like this. I'm including here two pictures that include men with hip-length hair.
This picture appeared on the first Samson page, and is still available through the Samson link. The other picture is a preview of the next Samson page, which will be ready by this weekend.
One last unrelated point. When you reply to a message, make your comment on a separate line. Otherwise it's hard to tell where the quote ends and your reply begins.

Where have you been? Have you spent your entire life in one of those tiny rural towns that straddle older freeways, with 2-digit populations, whose major source of revenue is 5-over-on-the-freeway speeding tickets?One of the reasons it even occurred to me to grow my hair out was because I see so many men in Seattle with great-looking long hair. One day I just decided to try it myself (though I was quite naive about how much time it would take to get long).
