How's it going. does anyone ever feel akward with long hair i.e.with friends, family, boss etc.....

No...i cant say that i have ever felt awkward having long hair...arround anyone.

No, I've never felt awkward having long hair with oither people around. I have often been to meetings with possibly ten or twenty other people, half of them women, and mine is the longest hair there. But then, I don't mind being different- years ago, my wife & I would often be the only people at a gathering wearing jeans when everybody else had a suit.
The message is: be yourself, if long hair feels right for you, then other people will have to get used to it. Some wil like it, others won't.

Yes. Absolutely. People can be quick to judge and on some level upset that I do not fit in. Long hair makes one stand out. At work, if I make a mistake or screw up - I really don't want to stand out. I would love to just melt into the crowd (and away from my screw-up) - but the long hair won't let me.
But those moments pass, and it's great to have long hair...
