Are there any men out there whose grandfather on their mother's side (your mom's dad) was completely bald, but you still have all your hair?
I'm 42 and getting some thinning on top at the vertex. How successful is Minoxidil (Rogaine)?

I am 37. I checked on Rogaine a few years ago when my hairline first started receding. Found out that once you start using it you have to continue forever or else what growth it produced will go away. I opted not to start using it and glad I did not. The receding hairline stopped and have had to more significant loss since then. My Mom's Dad was alomst bald but my Mom has great hair and luckily I think I got it.
