Pantene Pro-V straightening spray

I'm looking to straighten out part of my hair; the part and the ends of the bangs that flips up and looks like wings. It's bad looking, and I wanna survive through the bad hair stages without looking terrible. I saw a small bottle of spray by Pantene, and it's for straightening. It's rather expensive (about 7 bucks T_T), and it's a very fine liquid--it looks just like water. Has anyone any ideas about it? Or maybe about other things that can straighten hair without doing any harm?

This sounds useful, I also hate my "wings" >:0(
If anyone has used this and wants to tell us how it works, please tell :-)

Err, it seems that I misread the label: it's 'strengthening' spray, not straightening.
But I did, however, get a straightening spray today. Doesn't seem to be doing anything special, though. =\ Well, I guess I can't really say that--it has straightened out the back hair. Haven't applied much to the 'wings' though... guess I should.
