Substances that slow down hair growth?

I've seen people ask if there's certain foods or substances that accelerate hair growth. I was wondering if there were foods, or other substances, such as alcohol or drugs, that would slow down hair growth? (Thus avoided!!!) Thanks in advance.

I think some substances that slow down hair growth consist of tobbaco, certain drugs (especially recreational drugs), alcohol, foods high in sugar/fat, coffee and carbonated sodas. There are probably many more.I hope that helps....

Scissors will slow or inhibit hair growth. Be very careful around these and stay away from people who are holding them.
