Something many long-hair men like...

Hey, I know a lot of long haired men are people who think and live "outside the box" as they say.
A book that I found that basically throws the box away is "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn. I tell people that are tired of the box and think something is really messed up with the "way things are" that they should read this book. This is no ad, just a heartfelt recommendation to my long haired pals. :-) Check out the site, it explains why I'm bothering...

I read Ishamael about three years ago--a year before I started growing out my hair. Can't say that it was the direct cause, but certainly contributed to it. Ishamael is a really good story, and a great support for those who are tired of being caught in the status quo life.

I always had an attraction to certain aspects of Libertarian philosophy and Browne was one of the people I read hoping to understand how things came to be the way they are today.
For me, Browne wasn't able to provide an answer to that, although I do find much of his work compelling. Quinn's "Ishmael" goes much deeper and far beyond politics.
But thanks for the weblink. I always enjoy listening to Browne on C-Span.
