It seems like everyone wants different hair than they have. Guys with wavy or curly hair wish it were perfectly straight. Guys with straight hair wish it would have some wave or curl to it. I think it's best to find a good style for your natural hair, but if you have straight hair and want it wavy or curly you can get a perm. Just be sure, because as the name implies, it is a permanent change to the hair which is permed (but doesn't affect new hair which grows out.)

Not me! I love my hair the way it is. I think when someone grows there hair out, they should find someone (celebrity, etc.) who has hair as close to theirs as possible, and use this person as motivation to keep going. That's what I did (am doing). I'm blessed to have hair prettmy much exactly like Scott Stapp (from Creed). Anyways, sorry about the babbling. BTW, Howard Stern does have pretty cool curly hair!
straight vs. wavy vs. curly
