WORST HAIR EXperience EVER?

TWO PART QUESTION:
1. WORST experience with the HAIR itself.
From simple stuff like getting it stuck in a brush, getting something stuck IN it, to something more extreme such as machinery accident, fight with hair yanking, etc.
2. WORST experience you got from PEOPLE.
This can include FRIENDS, RELATIVES as well as STRANGERS, co-workers, etc.

Witnessing the first time I decided to blow dry my new longer-than-it's-ever-been-before hair for a laugh.

Going to work an hour later without bothering to fix it!

1. I'd say having my dad cut it all off with buzzers when i was 13 and jabbing my head with those f**ckers over and over, while yelling at me to hold still and "be a man". Good times...sweet memories.
2. A friends hair caught on fire and nearly burned his scalp, he works with refinishing chemicals and ZIPP, up it went. He's got 1/4 inch hair now, all bleach blond. whatever. it looks pretty bad, especially since his skin is NOT the right tone for that look, but then, he likes chemicals.

Burned it once over a stove while trying to... Don't do drugs! There's another reason to avoid them! Another time I had some hair pulled through the back of a fan and shredded a bit by the blades. But that wasn't nearly as bad as burning it! : 2. WORST experience you got from PEOPLE. My mother never stops whining or complaining. I rarely visit my parents, but when I do and someone stops by, she tells me to go hide somewhere so I won't embarass her. Nice, eh? All of my other relatives have been cool about it. With strangers, it was at a Journey/ Foreigner concert back in 2000. I went to the bathroom before the Journey show and some moron started telling me the women's restroom wa on the other side of the building. I ignored him, but he refused to shut up. I finally responded by telling him I understood his jealousy, but that there was little hope for him having anything better than a "dork cut". He pushed me, I punched him, he hit the floor, I took a piss and left. ....he..he....that SMELL's the WORST... As a child I once tested a car ciggy lighter to see if it was hot or not by pressing it down on my thumb. I never have been too bright. Duh Re: WORST HAIR EXperience EVER? In Reply to: WORST HAIR EXperience EVER? posted by LucksKind on August 20, 2002 at 07:12:34: I don't really seem to have traumatic experiences but a few years back I took an impromptu trip around a lake on an open air speedboat. At that time my hair was waist-length and not in a braid and I could just feel the knots forming and then building into nests. Managed to finger-pick them all out over the next hour or so but that made me painfully aware that high-speed convertible vehicles are out unless properly prepared for. Nobody gives me any real crap about my hair to my face but the most irritating comments are the brazen "locks of love" suggestions.

Locks of Love may be a nice concept & idea but it isn't
anybody's business to 'suggest' to others what THEY should do.
If they have no HAOIR to donate, let them give CASH.

I would caution anybody interested in donating to this organization to investigate them first. Only a small portion of the hair that is donated to them is actually turned into wigs. The rest is turned into cash or disposed of. Please don't take my word for it, though. Do your own investigation. They have numbers at their website.

Many tangles, from swimming, big no-no. Gum got in it once, not sure how.
: 2. WORST experience you got from PEOPLE.

Being blackmailed at work into cutting it, or be fired, and find out later that your boss lied to you, and that it was not a managment issue, but his personal issues. Growing back now. Currently Past my shoulders. Was to my butt before. Also have many family members who like to make smart coments.
