Violence against longhairs

Do you think that longhairs have more chance of being victims of acts of violence? Mainly gratuitous violence and bullying. Are there people who think that any men with long hair deserve to be beat up?
Violence? Depends...

I think that someone missed it by a letter … so:
pre-pare v. pre-pared, pre-par-ing, pre-pares. Abbr. prep.
—intr.
2. To study or complete a course of study at a preparatory school. —pre-par-ed-ly adv. —pre-par-er n.

I'm sure it depends on where you live; but the longhairs I've met tended to be tougher/bigger than the average guy. One of my friends is 6'6". I doubt that anyone would want to mess with him. Most of the time criminals are looking for weak victims.
Once I was in a bar and a group of 4 or 5 "rednecks" started making comments about my hair. I was by myself, hoping my friend would show up, so at least there would be two of us. I started making some comments [loud comments] about them after a while because I was getting pissed. Surprisingly, they stopped and I ended up partying with them. Maybe it was a test(?). That's the only time I can remember having a problem because of my hair. That was about 10 years ago or so. Haven't had a problem since. Take care.

It depends in what country you are, and also which race you are.
I myself (I`m kinda latino-lookin), had been aggressed twice because of my hair. I didn`t do anything. Just entered a bus and sat at the back and behind me was a drunken Black guy. Apparently he had something against longhairs. He was using my head as a punchball and I didn`t know if I had to leave the bus or stay. If I left the bus, he might follow behind and beat me up in the streets. If I stayed, he would continue to punch me.
I got away by sudden leaving the bus, but he managed to throw me a kick in the side of my head. It hurt. Such a beast. From that day I swore that I would always keep long hair even if I recently cut it...but it`s still below my shoulders.
Of course we can`t generalise, but in that country, note the name very well, long hairs are not welcome: it`s an island called "LA RéUNION" in the Indian Ocean. The place was StDenis. Pew, such nasty people, intolerant.
Also, people tend to think that because we`re longhairs we are to be treated as girls. So what? Girls are human beings as well. Since I had long hair, I felt how it was to be a girl, to be starred at like an animal. I`ve become more comprehensive, definitely not macho (never was). Long hair makes you look more soft and therefore more vulnerable. People think that we`re fools. But for us, it`s a test, from which we need to be the victors.
I must say...good post-Thanx

I would've pounded that guy after the first time he hit me. Especially considering that he was drunk. Drunks can't respond very quickly or accurately in a fight (for the most part, if they're pretty "hammered", anyway). Anyway, thanks for sharing your story. Good luck.

I would of wrapped my hair around his neck and choked him out.
