...I think I was allergic to it! Even though I kept it very clean...
it kept getting oily & itchy.
Used to tug at the hair out of frustration and
out they came!
I'd say there was a lot of shedding going on but I don't
think it's exactly the same as losing head hair!
Never heard of anyone losing their beard but then again
who knows?!

Actually what is happenng is i'm trying to go for a REALLY long beard like the one ZZ-Top has and i have to comb it to keep it neat looking and when i do i notice about 10 or more hairs in the comb when i'm done, it's about the same every day but my beard dosent look like its coming out, it looks normal even though a few fall out everyday
can't explain it
i haven't trimed it in about a month, any chance they could be getting thin and fragile because of how long the hairs are getting? iv'e had a full beard for a few years but never this long and never had a problem before
I had a shortish beard...hmmmmm...

Look at the ends of the hairs. A hair that just falls out
looks different than a hair that breaks.
If they are breaking, then maybe a detangler might help.
But if they are just falling out when you comb the beard,
it's probably the natural shedding process.
10 hairs doesn't sound like much to me. I wouldn't worry about it.

The only way I know of for you to have hair loss apart from the natural aging process is for an auto-immune disease called alopecia areata. This is also known as patchy baldness, because hair falls out in patches. It can be treated but it is very obvious to the person what is going on.
Normal shedding can vary from day to day, season to season. Don't worry about it!
BTW, I have had a beard on and off since I was 19. Permanently from age 25. I can't imagine life without one!
