Regarding hair dryers

Hi, I have been growing my hair out for about two years now, and am enjoying it quite a bit. Right now, I just let it air dry after showering, then comb it. However, this takes several hours usually to finish drying, and I was wondering if there is any other method of speeding the drying process. I don't towel dry, because I have been told that it takes too much of the oils out that way. Also, I know that using a hair dryer is generally considered to be damaging to one's hair, but is there any model maybe that is less harmful? ie. the dryer that uses 'half the heat in half the time' :P Any suggestions are appreciated, as well as your own methods and experiences. Thank you.
Ian

Why don`t you use the blower but a cool temperature. My dryer blows air that is at room temperature. It might speed up. Other wise, you should towel dry your hair, but not your scalp, if you see what i mean.
Hey...Tarikh! Nice Pictures!!...

Not to my knowledge. I've been towel drying my hair for several years now. This is my routine after I've washed my hair:
1) Towel dry by wrapping hair up, similar to how you'd wear a turbin
2) Let set for 5-10 minutes
3) Gently wrake through semi-dry hair with fingers to remove any left over knots
4) Spritz with water to dampen a bit
5) Spritz with styling gel
6) Wrake through hair again to spread gel throughout
7) Proceed about my day, allowing hair to finish air drying
Sometimes there will be excess droplets of water that make their way to the ends of my hair. These are easibly absorbed by gently squeezing the ends with a paper towel. After that, I'm done.
