What causes grey hair ?

The website "keratin.com" provides great information about hair in general, but it` very technical.
I have lots of grey hair (which I love)
but why do I have them, I`m just 25years ?
Well, I remember taking a product called Casilan, which is in fact Calcium Caseinate, a protein powder, and since I stopped taking it, my hair has been turning grey, little by little but I have a very fair amount of grey hair.
Any similar experience?

Unless you are unhealthy or under great stress...
it's probably just your genes.
Relax...eat right...don't worry...happens to all of us I think

Basically, the cells that produce the color for your hair undergo apoptosis (programmed cell death) as one ages. These melanin-producing cells It is genetically determined, but as noted by others, other factors can come into play.
In an interesting development, a cancer drug used for treating chronic myeloganeous leukemia called Gleevic, has caused a reversal of gray hair in some users. There is no explanation for this, although it suggests that gray hair may be coaxed to become colored once again.
Here's a simply-written explanation:

Grey hair is caused by only two things: your genes and shock.
Some people get grey hair in their early twenties because they inherited it from family. In my opinion this looks really cool.
When there is some great shock in your life, like death of a loved one or being in an accident or any other kind of shock factor in your life, some of your hair may turn grey, but it's not allways the case.
Once a hair is grey, it will never grow out in your natural color again. The grey hair is stronger and harder in texture than your other hair. Make sure it is grey hair after all, it may just be a hair that is much lighter than your other hair, specialy if you have very dark hair, any hair that is much lighter than your own will look grey.

i have not checked out keratin.com very thoroughly, but i remember i asked a question on this board before, and someone referred me to a site i think by loreal that had lots of interesting information relating to your topic, along with neat microscopic pictures, but i lost it.
but here is loreal's research page, which does not have very much on it, but you could search around from there. maybe it is not as good as keratin.com, but you could try.

I hate to say it, but it's hereditary. I had grey hair showing at 25. Now that my hair is longer, it seems to to be more blond/white, (maybe the sun).
