when will it go down! help...

hey guys, i have thick and wavy hair and for some reason, at the back, it flips up. I've gotten it trimmed twice, making it shorter each time. That only made my hair flip up at a higher point on my head. My theory now is that when the hair on top grows longer, i can slightly undercut the back and the lack of hair in the back and weight of the top will stop it from curving up. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a different solution or have this same solution work. Thanks guys for any help.

I also had a problem with my hair flipping up. The only remedy for me was to just let it grow and then the weight of the hair controlled it.

Polska, it would make sense to just let the hair that keeps sticking up grow and grow until gravity pulls down on it more, and wear gel for the time being.
