Problem that's reared itself.

I have been growing for 17 months and I have a problem. My hair is frizzy at the sides. The frizz is extensive to the point that my hair doesn't look good at all because bits of it stick out frizzy and bits of it don't. Is it because it is damaged? I'm guessing it is because I have dyed it 3 times. The only way I can rid of this frizz is to either allow my hair to go greasy, straighten my hair, or extensively gel it. Each option is not what I want but what am I gonna do? I may have to cut it but I really don't want to. Oh yeh there is 6 months of completely undyed hair on my head. Any comments would be helpful I'm getting pretty annoyed about it all.

Maybe if you use products for dyed/permed hair...
while getting some micro-trims while...
waiting for the rest of your UNdamaged to grow out?
Your damaged, frizzy hair may need gels, etc. until
it disappears...
