Long hair trims.

I have close to waist length hair. My hair has grown slightly uneven, with the center of the back, longer than the sides. Should I have it trimmed even across. I think it looks bette even across, but I will loose about 2 to 3 inches of length. Victor, what is your opion on this issue. My hair has a few split ends, but not many. I would like to grow it to my waist, but no longer, due to sports etc.
Thanks in advance!

If you want it straight across, get it cut.
My hair is like yours...it's longre in the very middle. I don't mind it being that way. So...I'm not cutting.
If you really prefer straight across, cut it. Just be sure the other hairs haven't reached terminal length or you'll only accomplish one thing...shorter hair.

I guess it depends how you have it cut, but i personally don't like hair the same length. When someone's had a trim to even out the lengths, it's increadably noticable, and imho, it looks a bit crap.
Hair that has naturally varied lengths looks alot nicer to me. I think long hair down the back looks nicest when it's longer in the middle...

Do what you like. My own is longer in the middle than the sides. I find some people suggest I trim it blunt across. Others say I should leave it alone. I get more suggestions of the latter, actually.

I say go for it. I've always liked the cut-straight-across-at-one-length look, although its by far more common on girls than guys. Having it trimmed to the same length tells the world: "Yes its long and I want it this way!". Obviously this will work best when the hair is as long as possible, and it sounds like yours is. I plan on doing the same with mine, but not until it nears the waist.

If you are going to have it for a long time by growing it long then by all means, keep it looking nice. Trims are a part of keeping it up. They don't have to be big trims and you will want to make sure that the hair cutter knows what you want and how to do it but show that you care about it.
