QUESTION:Why does hair grow faster in summer than in winter and
what about
the seasonal change is responsible i.e. the reduction in daylight
or temperature?
ANSWER: Yes, hair does grow faster during the summer. The trigger is
apparently the increase in daylight hours during the summer months.
Because we are exposed to more sunshine, our bodies manufacture
more Vitamin D, which is involved in making hair. So our hair grows
faster during the summer.

Fantastic - I knew all that lounging around in the garden during the summer was good for something.
