How do I hold braids in place?

I mean like small braids. I couldn't find any tiny rubberbands, what is the best way to hold braids in place?

If there's an african hair specialist shop near you, go in and have a look at what they got. Some plastic snaps might work.

Scuncii hair products sell an assortment of rubber bands. There are some pretty tiny ones in the assortment.
Another source for tiny rubberbands is your local orthodontist...

A good idea is to find straight pantothenol at the health food store. NOW brand sells jars of it. It is vitamin B5 in a clear, odorless water soluble gel. It's great for your hair. It is also very sticky and can be used as a setting gel. Put it on the ends of your braids, it holds very well and also protects the ends.
You can dissolve some in water and comb it all through your hair, leave it in overnight and then wash your hair. Luck!
