short hair story...

(Justin Barbier)
not really a story, but...
anywayz.. someone suggested that i may be depressed...well....YEA. I just cut off 9 (now) months of HAIR...I'm surely not going to be happy :)
but the chicks, like I said, LOVE it short...which i find strange, b/c i DO look alright with longer hair, i think i look better and so do others, but...maybe its just today's messed up soceity. Gosh, i do not think i am destined to be a 'longhair'
But i guess it is now time for the 'story' part.
I eventually will have to undergo chemo (yea that crap that makes ur hair fallout)lol...i dont really want to disclose any particular information publicly (but if you want, feel free to email me) well, seems that even if i would have NOT cut it all these years, it'd eventually HAVE to go anyway. maybe it'll be better this way. (God works in mysterious ways)
make a long story short...i think i am taking this news really well. im not worried at all, and my HAIR upsets me more...well ive made pretty good friends on this board whether or not anyone knows it, i've come here for advice as well as encouragement and enlightenment. this board is like a family...everyone shares a common interest and everyone seems to have similar outlooks on life...maybe the 'true' longhairs all share some sort of gene that bonds them together? whatever it is, im thankful for it...well feel free to drop me an email anytime...bye, JustinB

Today's chemo is a LOT better than the chemo of years ago. I have a friend who recently had surgery for colon cancer. Even a few years ago, that kind of cancer was certain death. Now he's undergoing chemo for six months. He's at the end of his fourth month and has lost NO hair at all.
Chemo has come a long way since the days when it seemed people lost their hair, just got sicker, and died anyway. Today's medicine is far more advanced.
Don't be surprised if you don't lose any hair!

Thats true.
And there are much more kinds of Therapy today than Chemo.
Some Types of Cancer can even be treated with "local Chemoth.",
where the stuff is only applicated at the Tumor and does hardly affect the whole Body.
In the Statistics you can see that nowadays there are only very few Peolpe actually loose their Hair due to Cancer resp. Chemotherapy.
The main Reasons for having no Hair are many others, even some very special Kind of Software thats trying to infect us. (s.b.)
But we are immune, arent we?

It will depend on what particular chemo they use. The chemo used to treat colon cancer is different than what is used for leukemia. Most of the kids and teenagers that have been treated for cancer at the children's hospital where I work have lost their hair. The good news is that cure rates for kids and teenagers are better now than ever. Keep positive, it has been proven to help!
well. . .Justin B.

I don't think Longhairs exclude people who do NOT have their hair long...
from their circle of friends!
Come back anytime.
Hope ALL goes WELL...
My prayers are with YOU! Good Luck & God bless
