Bypassed my every other day washing

Waiting for it to dry.
I used Suave's "2-minute recovery deep conditioner" on the middle to ends of my hair, then Infusium 23 leave-in treatment massaged in (more like rubbed/wiped LOL) before combing.
I've been washing my hair every other day for years. I sure hope it doesn't end up looking limp and greasy. Of course, even if it does I'm going to maintain a schedule of washing every 3rd day, hoping my hair will adjust to the new schedule.
I'm hoping to wean myself off washing so often, until I'm down to once a week. This is my first week, and the last 2 days my hair has been looking exceptionally good. The difference is surprising, especially this soon! I'm really glad I found out about CWC. Cold rinses will be next...one step at a time.
Flat, greasy head.

The first 2-4" of my hair looks limp and greasy. Just as I suspected. Put hair into a ponytail and am now dealing with a headache. UGH!
But, I will not wash my head until tomorrow. This, as all things, will pass.
HEHEHE! I'm slow. I made my New Year's resolution in March.

I suppose everybody is different. I wash my hair every day at times.
If I don't my hair is not very happy with it.

Good stuff, Sherri. I wash mine every other day as well (and sometimes on the 3rd day after). I have naturally oily hair/scalp so I can't let it go forever or I'll look like a gas station attendant that's dipped his head in a drain pan full of dirty 30 weight oil. :)
I also agree on cold washing. I'm a believer that scalding hot water is bad on the scalp (think of what it does to the rest of your skin) and also may be damaging over time to your hair. Try lukewarm; that seems to work best at removing residual shampoo/conditioner matter while still keeping the hair and scalp nice.
Another thing I do is how I condition: I have a special comb w/ uneven-length bristles (along with a pick on the back) that I use to comb conditioner in once I've put it on my hair. It ensures that it's evenly dispersed along all the hair (think of the thicker hair in the back). I also let it rest for about 5 minutes prior to washing it out (I wash my body during this time instead of standing there staring at the shower tiles looking stupid :).) Give it a try, Sherri. I'll post a picture of mine here on how it looks. If it doesn't work, click on the link below.
