... I was going to pay $6100.00 for the 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 that I posted about earlier. But today my buddy and I stopped at a dealer in Litchfield, Illinois and found the 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 pictured above for roughly $600.00 less. So that's the one I am getting now. The only difference in the two year models is the paint job. Everything else is identical. Thought I'd make the correction. Peace!
This has what to do with long hair?

... I was only making corrections for another post which did have hair issues in it. I don't do this very often, but felt a need this time.

I have a Vulcan 1500. Great bike.
The 750 is a good choice. It has a shaft drive, which is what I prefer.
What made you decide to get a bike? I've been riding since the mid 70s. I used to compete on dirt bikes. I had about a dozen 2nd place finishes.
I own more than one bike now, and have never quit riding and never will quit.

Well, a few of the guys at work got to talking about it, so I kinda jumped on the bandwagon. Since I am currently out of debt I figured what the heck. I am going to pick it up next Saturday after all the financing is done and signed. Can't wait to see how I perform. I haven't ridden a motorcycle since I was a teenager. That was a 250 Kawasaki dirt bike my cousin owned. I have never ridden a street bike in my life. Oh well, can't be that hard, huh? I'll especially like it when my hair gets long enough to blow in the wind like a true rider (to keep it on topic). Peace!

My first bike was a Honda Enduro. Remember those? It was street legal but still a dirt bike. It was a 125. From tehre it was a Honda CB200. Then a Kawasaki KZ400.
Now I have several bikes. I love riding.

This will be my first and only bike for quiet a long time. They say this bike is exceptionaly dependable and maintenance free so I hope it lasts a lot of years. I read some reviews at epinions.com from people who have owned this bike and the majority said it was the best bike they've owned. Hope this is true for me also. This should be an awesome experience. Peace!

Man I wish I had a motorcycle. I got my licence and everything for one but no bike. Don't got the dough. Heck insurance for my car is like 1200 a year, and thats minimum coverage. I hate being 16. I use to ride a old v-star that my cousin had but he sold the thing. I learned to ride a motorcycle before a car lol. Shifting was the hardest to get the hang of cause I never knew how to drive a stick shift car let alone a motorcycle.
Awesome

Hey Treyn,
I really like your bike. An excellent choice. I was hoping to get a bike until I checked out insurance rates(I'm 19). To the kid talking about getting a bike, I found the best way to lower your insurance is take a MSF course and get your license. That way when you do get your bike in however much time, it'll show that you've had your license for that amount of time without any accidents. It shows that you've had experience for however long you've held onto the license. I just got the license, and I'm waiting till I'm 21 for the bike.
Treyn, wind in the hair is great, but please wear a helmet. You want to protect that beautiful hair(and the head too :)).Be Safe. Happy riding.
Peace
