HELP!

Hi.
I've been noticing lately that the hair right at the front of my hairline is breaking. My mum also says she has the same problem with the hair breaking in exactly the same place. It's the hair just either side of the centre of my forehead that seems to break. I noticed it first about six weeks ago when I had my hair in a ponytail that there were these pieces that had broken and were too short to reach the tie.
However, I have noticed now that these broken bits seem to be getting bigger. The only thing I can think of is that I have started using ponybands which are tighter and have that little metal connector on them - could it be that the band is too tight? Does anyone else get breakage in the same place?
Thanks for your support in advance

Definately the tight pony bands will break your hair. I'm a girl and I have hair about 3" past my waist, so I can get away with using the cloth bands to pull my hair back. Go out and get the type without the metal band. They even make ones specifically so they won't damage your hair.
