Help

I usually praise salon products. I recently changed from the very effective and very pleasing to me Pantene Smoooth And Sleek conditioner. I bought the American Crew one which was almost 10 bucks. Well my hair is SO HARD to wash and condition since i started using it for the past 3 days. While my hair is wet it is a struggle to get my hands in it to shampoo it. When I condition I can then feel it softer but when I rinse the same thing happens. My hair also doesn't look nearly as good. It is like I tangled my hair on purpose. When I used the pantene conditioner, i could feel my hair so smooth and soft while I rinsed, especially after it dried. Since crew products are made for men, I called to check if it worked for long hair and the rep said yes. The pomade however works great. No conditioner has ever f***ed me up like this. Would like some input on this.

Looks like you have have a problem sucker. Maybe you f***ed up your own hair. If you noticed this 3 days ago, why did you continue to use it?Common sense tells you to not use it.

Dude I can't mess my hair up because of this, impossible. Plus I tried putting the pantene extra condtioner i couldn't find and my hair is almost like what it was. Common sense tells me not to just throw away a product I paid 10 dollars for.

What temperature water are you using? That can have an effect on how shampoos or conditioners work...
Infact, i should make my point more clearly. If you're using hot water, try using cold water. And vice-versa(hot water rather than cold). It's not going to damage your hair, so if you're washing it anyway, it's worth a try.
well...

I would stay away from the Crew for a while. You don't have to throw it out...
just put it aside for now.
Have no way of actually SEEing your problem, but I think you should
get away from both the Pantene & the Crew and use an entirely different brand
like Aussie Moist. Wash your hair and eventually everything should
slip off.
Many moons ago i purchased some Spun Wax for my hair thinking it
would be great for straightening out my hair...
well, as it turned out, it was even better for SCREWING IT UP!!!
My guess is that your 'problem' comes from the Crew. It may be
great for shorter hair, but long hair is a whole different species.
Good Luck!

This is the first thing that comes to mind when trying to explain why this happens. I however don't appreciate being told otherwise by the rep when in fact it might be for short hair only since it is "for men". If it's true, show's further more how people think the "standard" for men is short hair.
yes...

the rep, no doubt, is mostly interested in SELLing the product...
If the rep was a man, then maybe he NEVER had long hair and wouldn't
have first-hand knowledge about your concerns.
If the rep was a woman, chances are she probably NEVER put the product
into her own hair.
