American Indians

I watched a lot of westerns growing up in the 50s & 60s, and the Native American Indian always facinated me. I suspect that a large part of what intrigued me was that they all had beautiful long hair.
The Native Americans (politically correct terminology) still facinate me to this day. Probably in part because they, as a people, still believe their hair is an important part of their being.
If any of you would like to check out some Native American actors' websites (with plenty of photos), check the website: www.nativecelebs.com/actors1.htm .
One actor's site with a great photo is Anthony Parker. His direct link is www.adrianwall.com/Pictures/Anthony/anthony.html .
Hope you enjoy the site.

Hi, I am half Crow American Indian and half Scandinavian. My mom is full blood Crow and my dad was Scandinavian.
I was born on the reservation and every year there is a Crow Fair in August and you can see long hair on a lot of the female and male American Indians.
Not as many American Indian males wear their hair long like they used to. The longest my hair has gotten was a little past shoulder length. My guess for this would be the so called 'white society' and the pressures to fit into the whole society of the western world.
I have noticed that if you get closer and closer to a reservation the hair seems to get longer and longer. I guess it just proves that if you stay with a certain group you develop or keep their beliefs and/or culture.
I'm curious, what nationality are you?
